Victory MMA and Fitness would like to welcome two new additions to our amazing family of staff. We could not be happier to have Danielle Wolcott and Vince Bielinski join our team of yoga instructors and look forward to what they will add to our yoga program.  Here is a little bit about our two new yogis...

Meet Danielle:  My introduction to yoga was simple: I was curious. Why are people saluting the sun and how does it prevent cancer? From there, I joined the fun and have been hooked ever since. I went on to study health sciences and began to form a more concentrated practice once relocating to San Diego. I explored many styles and instructors before finding my passion for Vinyasa. I completed my 200-hour teacher training in 2012 and immediately began teaching to anyone who was willing to learn under my instruction. I teach a grounded, and well-balanced class with a focused attention on alignment. My classes can be described with a sense of calm endurance.

Meet Vince:  My introduction to yoga was several years ago when I attended an Ashtanga class with the disclaimer that I “had better get a workout from this and absolutely no chanting”.  What I found was an intense physical challenge but also realized the potential benefits from yoga in dealing with a lifetime of leg and lower back injuries from soccer and running.  Since then I have continued to practice several styles of yoga and received RYT-200 training in Ashtanga last year.  Yoga works to focus the mind on a single point through control of the breath and body, raising intense self-awareness, and leading to a calming of the thought process.  Additionally, the benefits of yoga are complementary to other forms of training, and can help prevent injury and shorten recovery times. On the other hand, it can also be a tonic for the aches and pains that comes with today’s corporate work spaces and lifestyles.  Yoga is not about stretching or odd-looking poses; in the end it is a method for building strength, focus, body awareness, and flexibility.
